I just purchased a Henry .22 and am almost shedding tears of joy as the result! The gun is for Joshua, my only grandson which was supposed to be for his 11th birthday in July. But a planned visit in early March is too tempting of an opportunity for Papa to see his face light up when he opens the box! He lives in Boise, Id and I live in Federal Way, WA so times together are too few and precious. Learning about his interest in guns, I challenged Jman, my nickname for him, to enroll in a gun safety class and if he passed I'd buy him a .22. Jman eagerly and with lots of enthusiasm accepted the challenge. He never missed one class. In fact he got glowing marks even though he was the youngest. So, Papa had to step up to the plate and fulfill the promise. Just any .22 wouldn't do though, this was for my grandson. With the sleek looking Henry ..22 I hit a home run! It's not just a .22, it's a Henry!

Hey, hope y'all are doing well. I have a question for you. I own 4 of your amazing rifles, and thought that was going to be enough. Then you brought out a center fire 44 mag, and one in .17 Hornady RF. What's a guy to do? Guess I have to add them to my collection. When do you expect them to be available?
I am a former soldier, a police firearms instructor, and an NRA instructor, with a lot of exposure to a lot of different firearms. None have been the equal of my Henrys, and you will notice I did not say "for the price". I continue to be amazed at the smoothness of my 3 lever action Henrys, I don't see how you folks do it for the prices you charge.. Please find time to convey my congratulations to your employees, these guns are almost beyond belief for non-custom guns.
Or maybe they are just very affordable custom guns. I do have one minor complaint, or suggestion. Your guns, particularly the golden boy, need alarms on them to alert you to the fact that friends or relatives are trying to make off with them. Perhaps some sort of tracking system, or a device capable of delivering a mild shock would work. Of course when you tell them the price, they just go buy their own. Usually. At any rate, thanks for the best firearms purchasing experiences I have had in the 45 years I have been buying and shooting guns. God speed, and keep up the good work.

Dear Henry
I recently purchased a Henry Golden Boy 22. It is the finest 22 rifle I have ever owned.
Thanks Henry!

Dear Sir:
I had to write to tell you how proud I am of my new Henry Golden Boy rifle. It is the best shooting rifle I have ever shot. I also have a Marlin and an H&R 22 but the Golden Boy out shot them both.
Sincerely,

I just wanted to drop you a line to tell you how satisfied I am with your lever action .22 cal rifle. I have many .22 rifles and I find myself always grabing my Henry whenever I want to go out plinking or hunting. It has definitely become my .22 of choice. There is something about it that makes it just plain fun to shoot.
I have to wonder how Brooklyn New York got into firearm manufacture....I am very glad you did, but how did it start and where did you come from?

Thank you so much, what a very exciting rifle, a thrill to shoot and handle. Smoother action than my Winchester 9422.
Thanks again for this great rifle.
(P.S. It is also very accurate, takes all .22 shells of every manufacturer with no problems.)

Just thought you might like to see my wifes Golden Boy with a 1863 scope that I put on for her.
She can hit an aspirin at 50 yards and just loves to shoot it. She got me the large loop Henry lever this Christmas, but I have not had a chance to fire it. It is a bit too cold here. We cannot wait for the new models that I have heard about.
Thank you.

The craftsmanship and material is so impressive that I have displayed it with several very valuable pieces. I am very delighted with the Golden Boy and proud to display it.
Also I have recently e-mailed the Henry Repeating Arms Company concerning a minor issue with my Golden Boy. Anthony Imperato was the individual that answered my e-mail. I am equally impressed with Mr. Imperato. He was very responsive and has gone beyond the call of duty to assist me. As long as you are making products like the Golden Boy and have people like Mr. Imperato you will have loyal customers for many years. In fact I plan to purchase a Henry Big Boy .44 because of the Golden Boy and the way that I have been treated by your company.
Thank You,
Donnie Wallace
The ache had become too great to bear, the longing had become too much, the compulsion overwhelming; and thus I gave into my heart and paid forth the currency.
The salesman was a classic old-timer, who will forget more about rifles than I could ever hope to know. His careworn eyes gathered on the firearm, and he stated most firmly: "smooth action, great accuracy, fine value", or words to that effect. He quickly educated me on proper loading, how to protect the firing pin, and tempted me to work the lever; which of course I did with gratitude.
It will be added to my trusty .270 deer hunting rifle, after I return home upon the day's end, with some justification in mind for the wife. Perhaps I will tell her that the .22 ammunition is simply cheaper than the .270 ammunition, when used for target practice; perhaps I will explain the fine history that this weapon had in the Civil War, perhaps I will tell her that this will be the firearm that I teach my daughters on; and perhaps I will beg her indulgence in yet another project and whim. It is no great matter, but the approach with the wife must be gradual and delicate...
It was the walnut stock, the lightweight stature, and the rapid fire lever that really rocked my world. My trusty .270 deer hunting rifle, could not dance at that level; "that dog just wouldn't hunt"...
Tomorrow it all comes together at the local firing range. With "eyes and ears" in hand, with the Henry .22 in tow, and with enough ammunition to defend a nation, I will rain down upon the targets, with great fury and passion, a volley of shots, unending in nature, and keen with accuracy.
As this firearm enters my proud family, which lives by the motto "Don't Tread On Me", I welcome it into our quirky clan, and embrace it warmly, walnut stock to my cheek, gunpowder in the air...

I gave my husband a .22 magnum for our 26th annivercry and he loves it. Thank you for helping me give him the perfect gift.
Sincerly,

except the mini bolt which I will probably make my grand daughter or grandson's first gun when I get one. When will the Big Boy and the .17 cal. varmint express be available?

It is as good looking as it is accurate and "Made Right, Made Right Here!"

Thank you for a great rifle."

(Neither 'organization', nor 'quality' were casually used terms here - fact.)"
"But, professionally, I'm curious about one thing. How did your dad, and then you, so infect the whole organization with your unique personal involvement and enthusiasm/insistence on quality? And how did you succeed in getting the rank-and-file to emulate it 'buy-in' (individually) to the original work ethic of pride as a premier motivator? (I'd love to talk to them.) Nowadays, this places you head-and-shoulders above the competition."

Perfect weight, good looking, and American made. I have been buying and trading guns for 35 years. This is one gun I am going to keep and give to my granddaughter. Keep up the fine work. I think I will purchase all of your 22 line."

She turned 14 in May of this year 01 and I got her the Henry 22 Lever Action Rifle she'd been reading about for two years. Needless to say she was thrilled. She was with me when I made the purchase in March even though her birthday wasn't until May and she very pleased."
"I then purchased a Bushnell 22 scope for her and made her a rifle rack to hang her rifle in her room at my house."
"I have a shooting range I built on my property with tables 25, 50, and 100 yards."
"I do a lot of shooting both handguns and rifles and I am a reloader too for over 35 years now. I have fired my daughter's Henry many more times than she has due to only a weekend or two a month to visit. I have made 100 yard hits on the steel plates consistently over the oringinal iron sights (I'm 61) and with no problem at all with the scope now on the rifle. The Henry has made a perfect mate for my daughter's 22 Ruger New Model Single Action and kept it all in the Cowboy tradition she wanted it to. As of November 6, 2001 we have fired 2520 rounds in the Henry. I keep records of rounds fired on all of our guns."
"I find your 22 Lever Action Rifle to be exceptionally accurate at all ranges and a pure pleasure to shoot. The action is smooth as silk and the tear down is very simple and easy for total cleaning which I always do after a session of shooting. My daughter researched your rifle for two years reading every article about it in all of my gun magazines before she made her choice. Damn good for she started it at age 12. We are so very pleased with The Henry and recommend it to all shooters and for beginning shooters. It really makes for a wonderful day of shooting and one of pure fun and relaxation."

My wife and I remarked that the 'hunt' we have had the last nine months has added to the excitement of the ownership. My Christmas stocking is smiling as it hangs on the mantle."
"Someday our only grandson will be the proud owner. We are keeping our correspondence with you to add to the story of this adventure."
"It was indeed a surprise when we noticed that you are the President of the company and that you responded so soon after the two letters we faxed to you. You and your company are to be commended."

He was thrilled and I am very impressed with the workmanship of the rifle. I hunted with an old bolt action 22 as a boy but could have never imagined a rifle like this one. Please keep up the good work, this is excellent American product and your company should be held up as an example of quality American craftsmanship."
