Henry Customer Letters
We just purchased a Henry rifle for my 13 year old son James. He had a Ruger 10/22 and was not satisfied. We are very pleased with this rifles smoothness, looks and accuracy. Thank you for a very well built rifle.

Dear Mr. Imperato:
A year ago, I purchased a Henry Golden Boy in 22WMR, and have loved it. You may remember that I sent you a picture of my daugther on her horse with the Golden Boy. Everyone agrees that your Henry is the smoothest lever action and best looking rifle on the market. I am forwarding a laminated target from our recent visit to the rifle range. Very impressive, Just thought you might like to have it around in case someone asks you "OK, the rifle is smooth and pretty, BUT, how does it shoot?". You now have the proof from an old westerner who loves your rifle.

Mr. Imperato, Just to let you know I ordered two youth Models and one Golden .44 Cal Big boy. You make one of the best guns I ever worked. I know my nephews will love there .22 rifles.
Thanks for Quality firearms,

Mr. Imperato, About three weeks ago I purchased my first Henry Repeating Arms rifle. The H001 Lever Action .22. Man what a fun gun, I had no problems firing off 200 rounds at the range. Nice groupings with the open site at 25 and 50 yards. My next step is to mount a scope on it. Thanks again for offering such a great gun with such a reasonable price tag.
I bought a Henry lever action about 6 months ago. It is hands down the best shooting gun i've ever shot. I'ts a great gun and I plan to get another henry in the future. Keep up the great work and thanks.
I have just purchased a Henry U.S Survival rifle for my daughter and she loves it.
Mr. Imperato I'm an old timer: 58 years old and retired, a US Marine, former MP, FAA Air Traffic Controller and LONG time shooter. My son is a pilot in the 101st Airborne and my son-in-law is a SGT in the Marines (my daughter married well). All of us are regular shooters (despite my living for over 20 years in the People's Republic of NJ).
I writing to let you know how much I appreciate your superb, American made, products and how much I enjoy kicking the boy's butts with my Henry .22!! My son's "target" upgrade Ruger10/22 and my son-in-laws great little Marlin (a gift from me because it was so damned accurate!) both get out shot on a regular basis by me and my Henry. No matter what ammo we use: shorts, LRs, Colibris, it ALWAYS feeds and is wonderfully accurate. Try that in a semi-auto!
Thank you for your catalog, which I received today. I purchaced your "big boy" 44 mag, this last week from Ozark Sportsman in Tontitown, Arkansas. I am totally pleased with your rifle. It shoots and handles magnificently. It is a beautiful and well made rifle. I can truly say, without reservation, it is the finest rifle I have ever handled.
I am looking forward to purchasing other rifles from you
I love my Henry Lever Action .22RF Rifle, which has the NEW "Octagon" barrel option! Putting the Octagon barrel on the "standard" model was just the right move for you to make!! With a 4X scope and SK Jagd SubSonic Hollow Points, from sand bags and bench rest, I averaged .7214 inches for TEN, 5-shot groups at 50 yards(no wind). I now have your pump gun on order from my dealer. If you'll chamber the "Octagon" barrel for .22WMR, I'll buy that too. (Yes, I know you make the "Yellow Boy" in .22WMR, but I like the "regular" model with Octagon Barrel! Thank you for making a great gun - at any price!. One way or the other, I'll be buying more Henry's soon!!!

Many thanks for your response to my email. I also want to thank you for your recommendations.
Not only does Henry Repeating Arms put out rifles that are second to none in quality, fit and finish, your company takes care of it's customers after the sale. I own four of your rifles now and I just kind of expect that I will wind up with a couple more of them.
My wife & I, finally got to shoot the rifle, after I got properly set up. I told her it was for the grandson when I was gone. She enjoys the gun so much, and shoots it very well too, that she informed me that "this gun isn't going anywhere, or to anybody, till I'm through with it." More of a testimonial than you know! Genuine enthusiasm, "wow!". Our eyesight isn't what it once was. So, I removed the open site & installed the marble tang sight they make for your rifle, this really causes, us that need it, to regain the eye focus we once had, also lengthens the site radius about 9-10". I put some "dayglo orange" paint on the back of the brass marble front site, and it shoots like a dream. After i got it "running" @ 100 meters, on a 8" bull, the last 15 rds. Were all 8's, 9's, & 10's. Just didn't want to hang a scope on such a magnicent work of art, just wouldn't be right. I certainly recommend the tang site, from marble, for we older eyes. It truly makes it "like shootin' fish in a barrel. When I put the large loop lever on it (for more ease of charging.) There is nothing else this sweetheart can possibly need.
What a beautiful rifle & what a joy to shoot. (Ask my wife!)

Thank you for your response. That is exactly what I have tried to tell others about your products. How many gun companies can one write to and actually have the head of that company answer with courtesy and punctuality. To me, its like being in the 19th Century and writing to Oliver Winchester or Sam Colt and getting a personal reply from either man. I don't think that happened with "ordinary people" back then. That is something I have NEVER in my 50 odd years experienced! I would always rather have an excellent rifle made in the USA by decent people than all the foriegn made copies there are! When people have said to me that the Henry Big Boy is not a copy of any particular rifle from the century before last, I reply that that is because its NOT a copy but is an ORIGINAL and a rifle they would have wished they could have made in the 19th century! Your rifle(s) are beautiful, strong, well made products...and I'm afraid that is all too rare in American industry today. And, unlike the only American made model 1873 SAA revolvers now available, your rifles are affordable by people of modest means, such as me. I am retired on disability due to multiple strokes after 30+ years as a police odfficer, Deputy Sheriff and drug abuse counselor for the city . Your rifle has brought me much pleasure. I enjoy just holding it and admiring it. I hope to eventually be able to save up to buy a Golden Boy for my daughter. It also is an outstanding rifle from what I have seen. Thank you for your good products and service to us shooters.

I received a Henry Big Boy last October as a 50th birthday present from my wife and daughter. They picked it out because I had said I had seen and handled one and was impressed with the quality and appearence of the rifle. They thought it was, "a pretty gun". I have been shooting and collecting firearms since age 12, when my late father started me shooting. I have owned and shot many, many guns. The Big Boy is one of the best I have owned. I have had several other lever rifles from other American makers and none was any better and few as good. I recently started some CAS shooting and joined SASS. I was pleased to recently learn that the BIG BOY has been accepted by SASS. I do not understand the venomous remarks made about this rifle by some on the SASS Wire. When I have defended the rifle, well, what a lot of flak I have gotten. A well made product with reputedly excellent customer service, MADE BY AN AMERICAN, family owned business, what's not to like? I hope you will continue to make and sell your fine products and I will continue to use your fine rifle to hunt and shoot at CAS matches. Thank you for a fine product.

Our son couldn't be more pleased with his new Golden Boy. Beyond being a beautiful sight to look at, the action is just unbelievable. He was shooting an old Mossberg Palomino lever but I don't think will be picking that up again too soon.

Around the 1st of February, I purchased my first Henry Rifle. It was a Big Boy .45 Colt. I was so satisfied with it that since then I have purchased 2 more. They are Golden Boys in a .22 cal. and a .17 cal.. They are very fine made guns and I'm very proud to own 3 of them. Keep up the good work....

Howdy from Idaho!
Just purchased a Henry rifle, Model H001, Serial #286884H from our local retailer. I wanted to have a 'match' for my Winchester 94 carbine .45 colt (purchased before I knew about Henry rifles). I took my two boys out for some target shooting and was very pleased with the out-of-the-box accuracy, action, look and feel of your rifle.
I previously owned a Ruger 10-22 that performed flawlessly and I debated on whether to go back to the 10-22, or go with a Henry or Marlin level action. I decided to go with the Henry based on history, tradition, communication with me and price.
Keep up the good work and good shooting!

I just bought my son his first Henry. It's a Golden Boy 22LR with the big loop. It's a beautiful gun, thanks for making his 10th birthday a special one!
I bought a AR-7 a couple of years ago while living in North Idaho and working with Disaster Services. I kept it in my Survival duffel in the car but never had a chance to shoot it. I moved to South Carolina and joined a gun range and shot it last week. To my surprise and amazement of those around me, I was hitting dongs at 75 yards with just the peep site (no scope)
Thanks for a great gun!
I just wanted to drop you a note to tell you how good a job you and your company are doing. I bought one of your Henry Golden Boy rifles in .22 long rifle in December and so far I have been nothing but impressed. I have ran over 1500 rounds through it with only three FTF's and they were not the gun's fault, just cheap plinking ammo. The gun looks fabulous and shoots great.
I ordered a Cantilever Scope Mount from your company and have installed a Simmons Deerfield 4-12x Scope. The rifle groups an inch to an inch and a half at 50 yards and I can even hit pop bottles and spinner targets at 150 yards if I sight it in right. This rifle far exceeds others that I have, especially for the money.
Thank you for answering all the emails I have sent you in such an expeditious manner. I am a regular at RFC (Barr) and hope to see you there more often.
I have two of your rifles and will be adding the 17 next. They are a joy to shoot and just fun to have. Keep up the great work on these outstanding guns. Thank you
