To The Folks At Henry Repeating Arms
I pondered for quite a while on which lever action 22 lr. I wanted to purchase, there were three choices, the Malin 39A, the Winchester 9422, and the Henry H001 that I had been eyeing at a local retailer. First of all I hadn't had any experience with the Marlin 39A or the Henry H001, but have had the privilege to shoot the Winchester 9422, it indeed was a very sweet shooter. I have to go on to say before I go any farther that I have worked in a gun shop doing general gun repair for 13 or so years. The Marlin is too expensive for me even though it is a rifle that is of excellent quality and reliability, same as for the Winchester 9422. I feel Winchester is letting a lot of people down by discontinuing their 9422. Now lets get to the most exciting lever action I have found. The Henry H001 caught my eye at our local store, I was very curious about this little rifle, it was setting alongside a Winchester model 94 and the Henry stood out over the Winchester in the looks department even through the glass cabinet. I do know that there are literally hundreds of owners of these rifles, and I am seeing them bought off the store shelves all the time, that there told me something, that this has to be a pretty good little 22 caliber rifle. I got the employee at the sporting goods store to let me look at one of the H001 rifles. First thing I noticed was the beauty of this lever action 22, the stock and forearm was of very high quality and finding out it to be walnut was awesome, I know walnut tends to be expensive and mostly found on the highest priced guns. The second thing noticed was the beauty of the bluing and finish on the rifle, as fine looking as any other gun on the market. 3rd thing was the fit and finish of the gun itself, everything fit to close tolerance and was very form fitting. 4th was the sights on this rifle, they are excellent, the front sight I found to be very, very nice, I was actually able to see it, compared to small beads on other guns. That was a plus for me, the balance and weight of the gun was of equal. 5th the liquid motion of the lever as you cycled the action was better than anything I have ever seen on a lever gun, it broke free and cycled effortlessly on the opening and closing of the action, very impressive. 6th the most important factor was the price of this fine gun. Just compare this to the price of the Marlin and of the Winchester, and to the Browning for the matter of fact. Needless to say the Henry found itself riding home in my Jeep Wrangler that afternoon. I had to set down and monkey with it that evening. by then I had found the 7th most important factor of the gun, it shoots 22 short, long, and long rifle, I was really smiling then because I just love to shoot those lil cci CB 22 shorts. I found myself going back to Walmart the next day to pick up a set of weaver short see thru mounts to put a swift 6x40 scope I had on my Henry, I like the see thru mounts because with the regular mount it is hard to pull back, the hammer, a hammer extension is something you might consider adding with this rifle, but is not a problem with see thru rings. I mounted the scope and drove out to the nearest place to try this Henry out. This is where the Henry H001 shines, without even touching the adjustable factory sights I was shooting twigs and small branches from a tree that had fallen, i was then really, really impressed, the accuracy of this Henry was the best I have ever seen, and after adjusting the 6x40 scope and sighting it in, anything within the crosshairs were never to be no more, I was shooting empty 12 gauge cases at 30 or so yards, never to miss one less it was a small movement being my mistake. I thought I was just making them jump but after inspecting the cases, there were 22 caliber holes in them, I was so very impressed by the accuracy of this gun, never seen nothing like it. The nice thing about it i used CB shorts and various long rifle and they all hit their mark and after 100 rounds I did not want to stop. The Henry H001 performed effortlessly and flawlessly during my shooting session with all sorts of 22 caliber ammunition shorts and long rifle. Best purchase and best gun for the money in a 22 caliber rifle bar none. I can see myself purchasing a Henry Big Boy .44 Magnum rifle and a U.S. survival 22 rifle in the future. Quality and Reliability is defiantly No. 1 with a Henry rifle, and as I can recall in the years I did firearms repair, I never seen a Henry in my hands to be repaired. So to all out there that wants a fine weapon at a price you cannot refuse and good OLE quality and reliability just remember there is a Henry out there for you, go and get one, you will not be disappointed at all. Thanks Henry Repeating Arms and to all the fine folks that produce these fine guns day by day at your facility your No. 1. Another Proud Owner Of A Henry...

Dear Henry Rifle Company,
I purchased one of the first lever action 22's you produced a few years ago. I loved it and she is so sweet to shoot and greatly acurate. I am a lever action shooter with many other western rifles and pistols, but my little Henry is my charm. I am looking again at one of the Big Loop rifles, may the Golden Boy. Thanks again for an American product in quality.

I just purchased a Henry Golden Boy in 22 Magnum. The rifle is a superb firearm as well as a true work of art. I have as much cleaning it as I do firing it! Keep up the good work. Joni (Now I need a pistol to match!)

Keep up the good work!! I am very impressed with the quality, price, handling, accuracy and 'pointability' of your fine little H001. Have you considered a .30-30?? (PLEASE!)

Mr. Imperato, I fired my Henry Big Boy 44 Magnum last week for the first time at the Forest Park PD range. Right out of the box it is 100% dead on target. I shot the smallest, tightest groups ever with your rifle. It was truly an amazing experience. There was virtually no recoil, and the action was so smooth I was able to keep the gun on the target and get rounds off quite rapidly. Two others who shot the rifle were highly impressed with the gun. One is a police officer who spends a lot of hours at the police range and the other is an older gentleman from Hungary who, in his youth, fought against the Soviets when they invaded his country. I am extremely pleased with the gun and wish I had more time to shoot it. All products should be made to the standard of the Henry rifle. Thank you for making a wonderful gun.

Dear Mr. Imperato,
Thank you for your personal and unbelievably quick response to my query. I am now even more impressed with your company, as you not only produce a fine, reasonably priced product and have kept your manufacturing inside the US, but you also take personal pride in your product at an Executive level. Believe me, these values are as rare as it gets these days and are greatly valued by those Americans who still remember when that sort of pride was the order of the day.
Regarding the sights, in order to justify spending more money on the rifle, I first wanted to make sure that it was a straight shooter, so I attached an inexpensive little 4X scope and ended up shooting some very impressive groups at 100' and 200', on par with a much more expensive varmint rifle. So I have ordered the Marbles Peep Tang sight so I can remove the scope and am looking forward to a long and fun ownership cycle with this fine piece of craftsmanship. I am equally looking forward to acquiring the Golden Big Boy in 45LC, to be my saddle rifle for my action shooting setup.
Thank you again,

I just purchased my Big Boy .45 Long Colt Feb. 3rd. I have been wanting one for a long time but I wanted it in the same cal. as my single action revolvers. I just wanted to thank Henry for this rifle. Or should I say " This Work Of Art"? It is a beautiful rifle with great workmanship. Keep up the good work... Thank you,

Hi, I got one of your Henry Rifles... and "I LOVE IT" One GREAT Gun.....THANK YOU!!!
Marc Crowell
Dear Sirs, Yesterday, on 1-31-05, I picked up my Henry Big Boy .44 mag! I love it! It was a birthday gift from my wife. What a wonderful Lady!! I can't wait to take them Both to the range! We will be updating you after a few boxes of ammo go down range. I own almost every major American-made lever gun. None of them comes even close, to the fit and finish of my Big Boy .44 mag. Likewise, the Henry's action is the smoothest of any that I have used in my nearly 50 years of shooting! I guess you can tell that I am now one very solid fan of your Henry Repeating Arms. Please put me on notice of any future offerings...I plan on beginning a collection that I can pass on to my wife, 3 sons, 2 daughters, 5 grandsons and 3 granddaughters! Thank you for manufacturing such an excellent product. Keep up the great work! All my best regards,

Dear Henry
I just couldnt send my warranty card back without some comments. First, the reason that I purchased the Henry Carbine was to bring back my younger days, as I had one back then. I am 73 years young. I fired it today and I hit the 1/2inch target the first shot. The action is the smoothest of them all, it was agreat price also. I just want to thank you for such a fine rifle and for bringing back old memories. Keep up the great craftsmanship.

Dear Sirs,
I have owned a Henry youth 22 (Its is a youth when my son is shooting it and a carbine when I am shooting it.) for a year or so, I think I shoot it more than my custom ruger 10/22. It is just plain fun to shoot. Thanks for the great little rifle.
