Henry Lever Action .22

Letters from Lever Action .22 owners

Anthony: Recently I sent you a picture of me and my grandson with the two new Henry H001 Lever Action 22LR that I bought for us for Christmas. I liked mine so good, that I bought me a Golden Boy 22LR. I am inclosing a picture of me and my prized Golden Boy. My dad gave me my first 22 when I was 5 years old. I have always loved hunting and shooting. But for the last few years I have gotten away from both. Now, I am excited about taking up the sport of shooting again, especially with my grandson. I also have three granddaughters. If they show an interest in shooting, I assure you they will get a Henry! I thank you for such a fine rifle, at such a good price and one that is made in America! You can't get any better than that. I hope one day to own a Big Boy .44. Again, I thank you for making this a good day for this 60 year old man!

Dear Mr. Imperato -

Thank you sir, for the catalogue and the nice follow up message.

My wife and I indeed purchased a Henry .22 rifle (Model H001) for use in an indoor SASS-type shooting league during the cold winter months here in Ohio. We are very pleased with the workmanship, quality and accuracy of the rifle. Fresh out of the box, after a routine cleaning and inspection, it hits dead-on and cycles without failure in this rapid-fire competitive event. It compares very favorably to our center-fire Winchester replicas (1866 and 1873 models), each of which costs 5 times as much the Henry!

The only "bad" news - several other league members also have Henry rifles...the competition is tough! To paraphrase "Mel" (Danny Glover) in the movie "Silverado": "Do you know what a Henry can do in the hands of someone who knows how to use it?"

Please pass on to all the folks at the HENRY REPEATING ARMS company our thanks and appreciation for an excellent product at an unheard of price these days! A tremendous value and a tribute to all the people in the Henry family. Also, we've attached a couple of pictures of us practicing with our new Henry.

Also, we wish all of you a safe and happy holiday season.

Regards,

Greg & Cathi Hoskins

Anthony I thought you might like an up date on how your we have been using the HENRY Rifles. These photos are of a day we spent at the Bellingham, Ma. Police Range. We had around 25 wheelchair vets men and women.

In the first picture Range officer Sgt. Rich Perry is working with the vets. This lady went to the National Wheelchair games for veterans and came back with a GOLD Medal! One vet asked if he could shoot from a further distance he... is a WWII vet 90 years old he surprised the range officers with his request.

By the way if you notice I put scopes on your rifles to help the vets and boy were your rifles a big hit they must have fired over 3,000 rounds and did not want to stop but the bus had to get back to the Brockton VA Hospital.

The groups that were involved were the VFW, DAV and VVA.

This was the second half of the event we put on each year, we took around 50 wheelchair vets to a private lake to fish, boat, eat, and have fun. This year a friend came by to spend time with the vets Mr. Harry Synden President and former general manager of the Boston Bruins. My Co-Chair Denis Auger owns the house on the lake and we have been having this event at for the past four years and the second for the firing range.

Again I want to thank you for what you have done for the Veterans the HENRY Rifle is putting a lot of smiles on our hospitalized vets.

Gentleman: I just received a birthday gift for my 82nd birthday, and it was a .22 caliber Henry Frontier Model with octagon barrel. I have a few lever action rifles, but I must say that this is without a doublt the smoothest that I have ever used. The initial shooting session proved to be beyond my expectations as far as accuracy goes, and I fully expect that it will get better once I try different brands of ammunition. Thank you for producing a fine rifle. I am looking forward to many years of pleasure with my Henry rifle. Sincerely,

Hello! I just wanted to say, I have a 'standard' Henry lever action in .22LR and also a "Golden Boy" in .22LR and although I've fired many a rifle in my sixty years, these two rifles impress me to no end, accuracy is amazing, and the action? My word, it is smooth as silk.. Hopefully, one day soon, I'll be buying more Henrys, but stepping up a bit in caliber...

Keep up the good work, you provide EXCELLENT firearms!

Sincerely,

Larry Lawhon

Dear Sir, first I am sorry for the loss of your father. I puchased a Lever .22 for my 8 year old grandson and I. He wrote a story about how I am teraining (his word) him to become a hunter. At the bottom of the letter he says he loves me so much. Nuff said  except THANKS

I recently had an inquiry about my son's Henry .22 rifle that needed a lever repair. I called on a weekend expecting a bunch of pre-recorded computer phone commands. Instead, an operator took my name, spoke to me and promised someone would return my call. I just needed a name of a gunsmith in our area to fix the gun. Shortly, a young lady called back and I explained my issue. She shocked me when she said she would send a UPS label and HRAC would do the rest. As promised, two days later came my envelope with my label for shipment. I sent the rifle in a soft cammo case (UPS store shipped it out) and I sort of just relaxed about it. A few days later, a confirmation letter arrived noting it was on the operating table. Nice--an update!--not the silence I have grown accustomed to with service.

Today, I came home from work and the rifle was back ...fixed, safe and sound, in my old cammo soft case. It looked great and my lever problem was fixed and not even a mention of a charge for the work. That 12 year old boy that got a .22 Henry for his birthday is now about to be 18...that would be 6 years ownership and a first repair with no questions asked. No hassle. Real people helping regular working folk like us.

The kids (4) and I go to the woods when we can and mostly squirrel hunt and plink and target shoot, staying in shape for deer and turkey season. That first Henry led to my wife getting me a Golden Boy .22 for me one Christmas a few years back. Still shoots and looks great....its' the gun all my kids want to shoot. So, we're a two Henry rifle family--we have other firearms, but these are still the favorites.

This repair was our first. I am still awed by the service and care shown to my situation, minor as it was.

Thanks for the great service...we really appreciate it.

Bought a henry for 7 yr old daughter several yrs ago. She loves shooting but I love the gun even more & keep in truck everywhere I go. Combined w/Aguila super max ammo its quick poison on varmints in the woods of south Arkansas. Think it's the best lever 22 made, keep up the good work. I did receive the catalog, thanks much...

I have your standard .22 lever action rifle. I've owned and fired .22s for 75 years. This one is the smoothest and most acurate I've ever used.
