Henry Big Boy Rifles

Letters from Big Boy Rifle owners

Anthony: Recently I sent you a picture of me and my grandson with the two new Henry H001 Lever Action 22LR that I bought for us for Christmas. I liked mine so good, that I bought me a Golden Boy 22LR. I am inclosing a picture of me and my prized Golden Boy. My dad gave me my first 22 when I was 5 years old. I have always loved hunting and shooting. But for the last few years I have gotten away from both. Now, I am excited about taking up the sport of shooting again, especially with my grandson. I also have three granddaughters. If they show an interest in shooting, I assure you they will get a Henry! I thank you for such a fine rifle, at such a good price and one that is made in America! You can't get any better than that. I hope one day to own a Big Boy .44. Again, I thank you for making this a good day for this 60 year old man!

For the past five months I am the proud owner of a Big Boy. The craftsmanship is everything I hoped for. Fit and finish were first rate, the action was as smooth and fast as anyone could want. Keep up the great work.

Mr. President- It just dawned on me as I was surfing your website that I do not have a copy of your catalog, or the decal, even though I am now the proud owner of 4 Henry rifles. I have the Golden Boy .17 HMR, the Golden Boy .22 LR, the Golden Boy .22 Magnum, and the Big Boy .44 Magnum. Your rifles are so beautiful, and so incredibly well made, that I believe they really do become an addiction. It is great to see such fine craftsmanship in a product made in America, at a time when so much of what is for sale in this country is made somewhere else. All four of my rifles were extremely accurate right out of the box; wish I could say the same for the other brands of rifles that I own. Hats off to you and your fine people. Please don't ever change anything that you are doing. I was hoping for the Big Boy in .357 Mag next, but now that you came out with the .30-30, I am torn. Maybe I can get you to send me 4 decals, one for each of the rifles I have purchased? A big thank you also to my wonderful wife, Dori, who indulges me in this wonderful Henry hobby I am involved in. Your products truly are priced right. Anyone out there looking for a rifle, you need look no further than Henry Repeating Arms. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to receiving your catalog.

Sincerely,

A very loyal Henry customer

Mr. Imperato,

Thanks a million. I'll keep telling everyone I know that not only is the Big Boy the slickest Cowboy Rifle right out of the box but you cant find another company that even comes close to the excellent customer service that Henry provides. I kid you not. I sent a rifle back to Taurus 3 months ago and have not seen it or heard from them since. It was a lemon right out of the box. I called Ruger once to let them know they installed a part backwards on my Vaquero (the pawl), which is why it froze up, and they acted like I was trying to pull a fast one on them and gave me the third degree!!

I can't thank you enough for your prompt attention to this matter and want you and all Henry Employees to know that I hold them all in very high regard. Your employees are truly the BEST in the business!!

If any of you are ever in Monterey California please feel free to drop in and see me, Sgt. Dale Allen, Sand City Police Department or call and I will do my best to help make sure your stay here is an enjoyable one.

Sincerley,

PS- My ranking has gone from 47/50 to about 23/50 since I started using the 45LC Big Boy in competition . Once I get the speed up I plan on moving into the top ten. I'll keep you posted "The Monterey Kid" .

PSS- I hope you are doing well after the loss of your Dad. I lost mine two years ago and I know its tough but whenever I get down I just think of all the great times we had together and promise myself that I'll do the same things with my daughter . I'd like to send my rifle to Henry in the future to have his name engraved on the side. I know he would have really liked that because he loved going shooting with me in the foothills of the High Sierras and he loved lever action rifles.

I bought a Henry Big Boy .45 LC last year and love it. It's a beautiful gun for hunting, targets, and for just to show off.

Dear Anthony: You know, normally I do not become very emotional or harbor attachements about the inanimate but I believe there is always a first time; last night I shot my brand new Golden Boy, and I'm in LOVE. The glass-smooth action, the flawless operation, and the quality of materials far exceeded my expectations....this is one serious shooting iron. At the Nassau County Pistol and Rifle Range in Uniondale I shot groups at roughly 30 yards (the limit of the range's distance) that measured in the two inch limit...and this is while standing, and off-hand shooting. This result is not due to my skill but your craftmanship. You've made me a better shooter, and I wish to thank you and everyone one at Henry for keeping alive the levergun tradition with such an incredibly wonderful firearm. Look forward very soon to receiving another online owner's registration of a new Henry Big Boy in .44 Magnum. I'm sold....... Most sincerely,

P.S. Thanks again for the information about the slings for the Golden Boy....most helpful, indeed.

I Purchased the Golden Boy 22LR yesterday.I picked up a few boxes of 22 shorts and went sub-sonic on the deck shooting at an old growth cedar stump. My wife inside didn't even know I was shooting. The lever action is much smoother than my Winchester Model 88 308, and my Winchester model 94 Classic 30-30. Decent accuracy with the 22 shorts right out of the box. Looking forward to sighting in and fine tuning with some 22LR rounds. Lots of fun to shoot. Maybe I'll need to take a look at the Big Boy in ..357 mag, although I doubt I'll be shooting that off the deck with my wife in the house.

Thanks for the Catalog. I did purchase your Big Boy in 44 Mag. Wow what a Rifle. I love it and it shoots like a dream. This rifle is a true KEEPER. You all did your homework on this one. It is a dream to shoot . Feeds great and smooth as silk. What a great rifle. Hay can I get a engraved reciever ( like the 22's ) and if so how much. Thanks again for the catalog and making such a great rifle.

Hi, I just purchased my Big Boy in 44 mag. I took it right from the Store to the range. Out of the box accurate with every round fired. I tried 3 different powder/load combinations with excellent results. Most accurate were the 240g JSP(Nosler) with 24g H110. These same rounds shoot well through my Desert Eagle. I was able to place shots well at 100 yards with your excellent sighting set up. 50 yars yielded even better patterns and I was able to pick off shotshells placed on the target stand. Bravo on such a great rifle. My friends who were there had to hold touch and feel the Big Boy, as well as shoot it. None wanted to shoot there own weapons and I had to limmit there ammo! Having served in combat I know that a quality weapon is the only kind to have. Your rifle is the best I have ever shot and is more beautiful than any other I have ever seen. Keep up the good work as there will be at least 5 more Big Boys in circulation soon-double hearing protection will be required on this range.
